As back in 2021 Imran Khan had declared full support for Gen Bajwa, now the federal government under the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at an emergency meeting of the federal cabinet, allegedly to discuss amendments to the Army Act, sources within the cabinet reveal.

As per our Chiriyareporter, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, during the cabinet meeting, hailed General Asim Munir as one of the most distinguished Sipah-e-Salars the nation has ever seen.

“In my view, General Asim Munir is our Army Chief for a lifetime,” remarked Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, expressing deep emotional attachment to the army chief during the session.

Reportedly, amendments pertaining to the tenure and extension of the army chief were proposed and passed unanimously during the meeting, which was presided over by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

“Let’s not forget the pivotal role General Asim Munir played in supporting our government during challenging times. It is with his backing, by the grace of Allah, that our government still stands,” asserted Sharif.

“I propose adding a clause to the Army Act, ensuring that General Asim Munir remains the Army Chief for the duration of his lifetime,” declared the Prime Minister.

In a heartfelt address, PM Shehbaz Sharif commended the Army Chief for his role as a savior and for presenting ‘The Munir Doctrine’, which he believes charts the course for the nation’s future.

Sharif’s sentiments were met with resounding applause and unanimous endorsement from the federal cabinet members.
