SSP Ammara Athar Takes Charge As Lahore Chief Traffic Officer

LAHORE: In a significant development, SSP Ammara Athar has officially taken charge as the Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) of Lahore.

Affiliated with the 36th Common, CTO Lahore SSP Athar entered the police department in 2009 as an ASP and has now assumed the pivotal role of Chief of Traffic Police in the provincial metropolis.

Throughout her illustrious career, SSP Athar has demonstrated success in various capacities, serving as SDPO in Sargodha, Bhawalpur, and North Cantt Lahore. Her expertise encompasses leading investigation units and operational teams.

Additionally, she held positions as SP Investigation in Model Town and SP Operation in Iqbal Town, Lahore. SSP Athar also contributed significantly as SP Security Lahore and SSP Operations in Multan.

Her impactful leadership was evident in the district police offices of Bahawalnagar and Sargodha.

Before her tenure as CTO Lahore, SSP Athar played a crucial role as AIG Administration and Security.

SSP Athar is recognized for her exceptional professionalism and dedication within the police force.

CTO Lahore Holds Crucial Meeting with Traffic Officers

Under the leadership of CTO Lahore SSP Athar, a meeting was convened with traffic officers on Tuesday.

During the session, CTO Lahore SSP Athar delivered a clear message, emphasizing that motorcyclists without helmets and licenses should not go unnoticed.

In response to the growing concern of underage drivers, a stricter crackdown has been ordered, effective immediately. CTO Athar highlighted the importance of strict enforcement of lane discipline at stop lines.

The meeting outcomes included a firm stance against improper turns, negligence in duties, and any abuse of authority. SSP Athar also underscored the establishment of new police service centers in the city.

Emphasizing the priority of preventing accidents and enforcing traffic laws, CTO Lahore Athar reiterated the commitment to maintaining order on the roads.

The meeting witnessed the active participation of SSP City Shahzad Khan, SSP Malik Akramullah, HQs Sohail Fazal, DSP Licensing Bushra Abdul Ghani, and officers from all circles.
