LAHORE: Daneese Ali, the girl for whom Qayyum Shahid allegedly killed his father, Dr. Shahid Siddiq, has been exclusively identified by The Scoop (TS).
Sources close to Daneese and Qayyum revealed to TS that they had been dating for two years. Qayyum reportedly stole gold and jewelry worth millions and transferred the money to her. When the money ran out, they allegedly conspired to murder Qayyum’s father.
“Daneese attended Lahore Grammar School Defence. She lives in DHA and has a history of luring men for money,” a friend, requesting anonymity, told TS. “He was buying her property in London too. But the father found out and was against the marriage.”
Qayyum has confessed to killing his father for Daneese.
A senior police official privy to this development confirmed TS that Daneese is currently in police custody and she is being interrogated.
The Organized Crime Unit (OCU) in Iqbal Town detained Qayyum, the son of the deceased, for allegedly facilitating the murder via hired shooters. Police sources claim they have ‘concrete evidence’ against Qayyum.
The murder case, registered on the complaint of Dr. Shahid’s other son, Taimur, states that Qayyum and his uncle Sajid were present when the shooter attacked Dr. Shahid as he was getting into his car.

Qayyum, son of prominent PTI leader and Orange Hospital owner Dr. Shahid Siddiq, stands accused of orchestrating his father’s murder after Dr. Shahid refused his request to marry a girl of his choice.
Police reports reveal that Qayyum and a close friend, Shehryar, planned and executed the attack. The first attempt on Dr. Shahid’s life was allegedly planned for five million rupees in January, but he survived. The subsequent assault, organized for two crore rupees, resulted in his death.
Investigations showed that Qayyum closely tracked his father’s movements and was implicated by CCTV footage showing a suspicious white car near the crime scene. Despite leading his father’s funeral prayers, Qayyum’s involvement has shocked the community.
Dr. Shahid Siddiq’s Tragic Death
Dr. Shahid Siddiq, owner of a prominent private hospital and local PTI leader, was killed outside a mosque in Valencia Town, Lahore, after Friday prayers. An unidentified assailant fired four shots, killing him instantly.
Authorities, including Inspector General (IG) Punjab Usman Anwar, have launched a thorough investigation into the targeted killing. The IG has directed all available resources towards resolving the case swiftly and has sought a detailed report from the DIG Operations.
This tragic case highlights the extreme lengths some may go to over family disputes and has sparked widespread shock and condemnation.
