LAHORE: Inspector General of Punjab Police, Dr. Usman Anwar, has reiterated his commitment to the health and welfare of police employees and their families. In line with this initiative, more than PKR 1.5 million in additional funds have been released for the medical treatment of police officers and personnel deployed in Lahore and other districts, according to a Punjab Police spokesperson.

In Bahawalpur, Head Constable Muhammad Asif received PKR 500,000 for treatment related to physical disabilities and other medical conditions. In Chakwal, ASI Adeel Ahmed was granted PKR 300,000 for major surgery.
Adnan Aslam from the Punjab Highway Patrol (PHP) was given PKR 100,000 for the treatment of various ailments, while Head Constable Muhammad Imran from the Telecommunications department was granted PKR 100,000 for his wife’s medical treatment.

Additionally, Constable Muhammad Asghar Chishti from Pakpattan and Shahid Akhtar from Rawalpindi were each given PKR 100,000 for their medical treatments. ASI Ghulam Muhammad’s wife and Constable Mian Muhammad Saqib Mohsin were also granted PKR 50,000 each for their medical needs.
Funds for the medical expenses of other police personnel suffering from various health issues were also released after scrutiny by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee, the spokesperson confirmed.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar assured that further steps would continue to be taken to ensure the health and welfare of the police force.
