Raja Pervez Ashraf Propels PPP’s Punjab Strategy: Empowering Grassroots And Prioritising Merit

    LAHORE: Former Speaker National Assembly and President PPP Central Punjab Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that PPP’s grassroots organization will be strengthened in Punjab, and efforts will be made to provide jobs through the Right to Work Act. Women and youth will be brought forward.

    He expressed these views while addressing a press conference on Saturday at the PPP Central Punjab office along with Chaudhry Yasin, President PPP Azad Kashmir, Information Secretary Shehzad Saeed Cheema, Mian Ayub, Mohsin Malhi, Musa Khokhar, and Raheel Kamran. Abraar Shah, Jameel Manj, Faiza Malik, Allama Yusuf Awan, Ayesha Nawaz Chaudhry, and Amjad Jutt were also present at the occasion. 

    Raja Pervez Ashraf said that consultations have begun for organization, and from the tehsil to the Punjab level, PPP’s organization will be strengthened. He said that the organization process will be completed within 100 days.

    A beautiful combination of young leadership and experienced individuals will be formed. Women will be mobilized in Central Punjab. Efforts will be made to appoint based on merit. He expressed hope that better results will come in the upcoming elections in Punjab. Raja Pervez Ashraf said that it was being portrayed that PPP is weak in Punjab, but that is not the reality. 

    In response to a question, Raja Pervez Ashraf said that Governor Punjab Sardar Salim Haider Malik will play an important role in promoting economic development and political stability in the largest province of the country.

    He expressed hope that Sardar Salim Haider, especially as Governor of Punjab and overall for the social development and prosperity of the entire country, will utilize his best abilities and wisdom. He said that Sardar Salim Haider’s nomination as Governor is the best choice of President Asif Ali Zardari and it is hoped that he will utilise his best abilities to safeguard national interests and achieve progress and prosperity.

    He said that cooperation and communication between government and private institutions are essential for sustainable development and prosperity. Governors, acting as bridges, will play a constructive role in facilitating dialogue, removing hurdles, so that the widest range of goals for Punjab and the federal government can be achieved.
