Sarah Ahmad is a beacon of hope and dedication when it comes to child rights activism. As a Member of the Punjab Assembly, she embodies the spirit of service and advocacy, striving tirelessly to protect the most vulnerable members of our society.

Her multifaceted background, including an MBA and experience in various multinational companies, underscores her capability and versatility.

Not content with merely excelling in the corporate world, Sarah chose to channel her energy into making a meaningful difference in the lives of children. Her tenure as the Chairperson of the Child Protection & Welfare Bureau, Government of the Punjab, has been nothing short of transformative.

Since assuming this role in 2013, Sarah has spearheaded a comprehensive overhaul of the bureau, breathing new life into its mission and operations.

Under Sarah’s leadership, the Child Protection Bureau has become a beacon of hope for countless children across Punjab. From facilitating adoptions of abandoned infants to reuniting missing children with their families, Sarah’s commitment to safeguarding children knows no bounds.

She has not only raised awareness about the prevalence of child beggary and abuse but has also implemented concrete measures to combat these scourges.

Sarah’s impact extends far beyond the borders of Punjab. Her groundbreaking work has earned her international recognition, including the prestigious Global Collaborative Award in 2022 in Rome, Italy.

Her tireless advocacy on behalf of abused and neglected children led her to represent Pakistan at the United Nations conference on Child Sexual Abuse last September, where her insights and expertise were invaluable.

Sarah’s unwavering dedication has not gone unnoticed. Her nomination as Pakistan’s International Woman of Courage by US Ambassador Donald A. Blome in March 2024 is a testament to her exemplary leadership and resilience.

Furthermore, her recent recognition with the Tamatha-I-Imtiaz by the State of Pakistan is a well-deserved honor for her outstanding contributions to child protection.

In a world often plagued by indifference and apathy, Sarah Ahmad stands as a shining example of compassion and action.

Her relentless pursuit of justice and empowerment for neglected children serves as an inspiration to us all.

As we celebrate her achievements, let us also renew our commitment to building a society where every child is cherished, protected, and given the opportunity to thrive.

Sarah Ahmad’s legacy will undoubtedly endure as a beacon of hope for generations to come.
